M-Bro's Youmacon Otaku Pop Quiz

Always had questions about a certain part of our fandom? Interested in checking out something new that you've never heard of before? Our wide variety of panels, from talks with our guests to discussions about your favorite series, might be just what you’re looking for.

An 11 Year Old's Guide to Cons

Join an 11-year-old congoer of three years to discuss convention life for kids. Children up to age 12 will learn dos and don'ts to have fun and remain safe at the same time.

Acting for Cosplay

One of the most highly anticipated events at any convention is usually the masquerade. We all love to watch the beautifully crafted costumes and see our favorite characters in 3D right in front of us, and on top of all that, there are skits! But, how do the performers utilize their talents and skills in order to create the best possible cosplay skit that is understandable and enjoyable for all? This interactive panel is designed to help cosplayers learn the basics of acting (projection, gestures, facial expressions, and more) and also to teach them how to trim down and clean up their material for a fun and watchable performance that will leave fans saying "Wow!"

Anime Auditions

The Process

Voice actor Kyle Hebert (Kiba from "Naruto") explains what happens when trying out for anime. While this isn't an actual casting call, there will be a live demonstration using volunteers from the audience hoping to show off their acting skills and reading for various characters from the hit anime "Naruto". This workshop is an absolute must for anybody interested in entering the field of voice acting.

Anime Balderdash

Tony and Tom invite you to pitch as many titles to them as you can, and watch as they bluff their way through descriptions of anime and anime related elements. Can you trip up these "experts" with your obscure favorites?

Anime Radio

Turn back the clock to the glory days of yesteryear, before the internet, before TV...when everybody's main source of entertainment was the radio. Join voice actor, Kyle Hebert (the Narrator from "Dragon Ball Z") as he rounds up all the Youmacon anime voice actor guests for an unrehearsed performance of an authentic old-time radio script. Perhaps a bit part or two will be given to lucky volunteers from the audience. Witness what happens when you turn loose a bunch of English dubbing professionals with actual dialogue that could only be taken seriously decades ago.

Anime Whose Line Is It Anyway?

For craziness, insanity, and anything anime and game related, join us for a game of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" Youmacon style!

Anzai Nobuyuki

First, there was a robot. Then there was a ninja. Then an otaku, and now three fake princes. At one point in time, every anime fan has at least heard of works done by Anzai Nobuyuki, best known for his series "Flame of Recca". Come on in and explore further into his career, and get answers to your questions on his different series, including: "Rocket Princess", "Flame of Recca", "MÄR" (and "Omega"), "Mixim", and "Crazy Mania X"!
