Youmapalooza IdolFest is a dance competition held Friday evening in Main Events. Contestants will perform a dance cover and winners will be selected by our judges.
An exciting new opportunity for Idols to perform in an Idol focused setting. YoumaPalooza will bring local idols to the stage to compete in our first-ever Idol Fest contest. YoumaPalooza is open to idols who perform solo or in groups of up to six people.

Rules:
- All contestants are required to purchase a badge valid for Friday to participate.
- Contestants may enter as a solo performer or in a group with a maximum of 6 members.
- Awards will be given for Best and Runner Up Solo, and Best and Runner Up Group.
- Individuals may only enter with 1 group.
- Dances entered in the IdolFest cannot also be entered into the masquerade. IdolFest contestants are welcome to enter the masquerade for craftsmanship or for a different performance.
- Dances must be official choreography to the song(s) selected.
- Any and all stunts must be disclosed to staff and approved by the organizer.
- The following are strictly prohibited: Pyrotechnics, jumping onto/off off the stage, throwing items off of the stage, any form of confetti.
- Anything brought onto the stage must be brought off of the stage. Do not leave any mess behind.
- Electronic flashes may be permitted if approved by the organizer. An announcement will be made to the audience before your performance.
- There will be no live singing and no microphones will be provided. Contestants are welcome to lip sync if they desire, but no audio will be projected to the audience.
- Performances must be family-friendly/not to exceed PG-13 rating. This includes costumes/outfits, choreography, and music.
- No sandals or heels will be allowed due to the trip hazard
- Costumes/outfits must not have any pieces that pose a risk of slips, trips, and falls.
- Contestants are not required to be in cosplay and can wear whatever they choose.
Audio/Music Rules:
- Music can be from any source (K-Pop, J-Pop, Vocaloid, etc) as long as there is official choreography for it.
- A maximum of 3 songs can be used for mash-ups/mix-ups.
- Performance maximum length is 4:00 minutes.
- Audio submissions must be in an MP3 format.
Applications:
- Applications will open at the same time as masquerade applications (8/15/25).
- An audition video will need to be submitted with the application. It does not need to be the same dance that will be competed with.
- Applying does not guarantee that you will be performing. Applications and auditions will be reviewed and selected entrants will be contacted.
- An MP3 file of the music must be submitted by 9/30/25.
- A video of the performance must also be submitted for prescreening by 9/30/25. This will not be judged, only reviewed for performance content.
